Video Mixing

Mix video alongside audio. Load video files on decks, crossfade visuals, and stream live to your audience via AirPlay or RTMP.

Loading Video Files

Tremor supports video files just like audio. Load them onto any deck and they play in sync with the audio.

Supported Formats

Video on Vinyl

When a video is loaded, it plays directly on the vinyl platter. The video follows all deck controls — scratch it, loop it, apply effects. The grooves overlay the video so it still looks and feels like vinyl.

Pro Feature

Video mixing is available with Tremor Pro. Free users can preview video features but output is watermarked.

Video Crossfading

The crossfader controls both audio AND video. As you fade between decks, the video blends smoothly.

Blend Modes

Access the VIDEO page in the center panel to choose blend modes:

Crossfade

Standard opacity blend. One video fades out while the other fades in. Clean and professional.

Cut

Hard cut at the crossfader center point. No blending — instant switch between videos.

Add

Additive blending. Videos stack on top of each other, creating bright overlays.

AirPlay Output

Send your video mix to any AirPlay-compatible display — Apple TV, smart TVs, or AirPlay receivers.

  1. Make sure your device and AirPlay receiver are on the same Wi-Fi network
  2. Open Control Center and tap Screen Mirroring
  3. Select your Apple TV or AirPlay display
  4. Tremor's video output appears on the external display

Dual Display

On iPad, the external display shows only the video mix (no UI). Your iPad screen continues to show the full DJ interface for control.

Live Streaming (RTMP)

Stream your video mix directly to YouTube, Twitch, Facebook Live, or any RTMP server.

Setting Up a Stream

  1. Go to Settings → Streaming
  2. Enter your RTMP server URL (e.g., rtmp://a.rtmp.youtube.com/live2)

  4. Choose quality: 720p, 1080p, or 4K (device dependent)
  5. Tap Start Stream

Stream Quality Settings

Bandwidth Requirements

1080p streaming requires at least 6 Mbps upload speed. Test your connection before going live. Use a wired ethernet connection when possible.

  2. Choose Video + Audio or Audio Only
  3. Start mixing — recording happens in real-time

  5. Find your recording in Files → Tremor → Recordings

Recordings are saved as MP4 (video) or WAV/M4A (audio only) at the highest quality your device supports.
