Getting Started

How do I load a track?
Tap the music note button on a deck's transport bar. Browse by Songs, Albums, Artists, Playlists, or Files.

How do I mix between decks?
Load tracks on both decks, press Play on each, then use the crossfader to blend between them.

What audio formats are supported?
MP3, AAC, M4A, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, ALAC, OGG, and CAF. Video formats: MP4, MOV, M4V.

Stem Separation

How does stem separation work?
Tremor uses a neural network (HTDemucs) running on-device via CoreML to separate any track into Drums, Bass, Vocals, and Other instruments. No internet required.

Why is stem separation slow on older devices?
The neural network uses GPU acceleration. Devices with A14 chip or newer process stems significantly faster. Results are cached so subsequent loads are instant.

How much disk space do stems need?
Approximately 200MB per track (4 stems in uncompressed format for real-time playback).

Beat Sync

How accurate is the BPM detection?
Tremor uses a neural beat tracker (Beat This!) that achieves 99%+ accuracy on most music. It detects variable tempo tracks and provides beat-level alignment.

Beats are slightly off — what can I do?
Use the TAP button in the Sync page to manually set the downbeat position. This corrects the beat grid alignment.

DJ Controllers

Which controllers are supported?
Pioneer DDJ-FLX2, FLX4, FLX10, DDJ-200, DDJ-REV1, Hercules DJControl Starlight, and any MIDI-compatible controller via MIDI Learn.

How do I connect a controller?
Connect via USB (Camera Connection Kit) or Bluetooth. Tremor auto-detects supported controllers and loads the factory mapping.

How do I remap controls?
Tap the antenna icon > Mapping tab > Learn button next to any control > move the physical control on your hardware > confirm.

Troubleshooting

No sound playing
Check that your device is not in silent mode. Verify volume is up on both the device and the channel faders in the app.

App feels slow
Close other apps to free memory. Stem separation and BPM analysis are CPU-intensive. Pre-analyze your library for instant loading during performance.

Track won't load from Apple Music
DRM-protected tracks require an active Apple Music subscription. Some tracks may need to be downloaded for offline use first.
